  Room and view are stunning. The food was amazing and definitely recommended. All the staff are extremely helpful and always make time for you. Would definitely stay here again next time we are in Cornwall.

  Lovely service. Better than the carlyon. Obviously a smaller scale and not as grand But we felt more welcome and the staff actually spoke to us and made us feel welcome. So much so that we felt ablidged to dine in. We didn't mind. Turns out the food was very good, lovely cut of beef and tasty olives to start ( an actual bowl rather than borrower's bowl). I really couldn't recommend this hotel anymore to be honest. I had a look at some parts to criticise - but couldn't find any....well, st Ives! Don't go there. It's scummy. Used to be nice. Go around it as there are so many other places that don't get the same attention. Visit the Avallen, comfort welcome ; )
